HBOS Shareholder Account holders

As a holder of shares within the company sponsored nominee, the HBOS Shareholder Account, we aim to ensure as far as practicable that you enjoy the same rights as other shareholders whose shares are registered directly in their own name on the Register of Members. This includes receiving company communications and dividend payments directly and being able to use the full range of online shareholder services facilities offered in conjunction with our Registrar, Computershare. These range from simple account enquiries and valuations, to updating your personal details such as changing your address or payment instructions for dividends and voting on general meeting resolutions. You can also register an email address to receive your company communications electronically.
 
As a member of the HBOS Shareholder Account you also have a special relationship with Halifax Nominees Limited and Halifax Share Dealing Limited, who are part of the HBOS group of companies. They act as nominee and custodian of your shares, being responsible amongst other things for the safeguarding of your shares, along with other obligations imposed by the Financial Services Authority, designed to afford and protect your rights as a retail client. Halifax Share Dealing is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. The details of the service and rights are set out within the terms of the HBOS Shareholder Account Terms and Conditions.
 
Furthermore, customers utilising the additional optional share dealing services offered by Halifax Share Dealing Limited have additional rights relating to that service. These are explained in the Order Handling Policy and the summary Conflicts of Interest Policy.
