Insight Investment
Insight Investment is the asset manager of HBOS plc. The origins of Insight lie within Clerical Medical, one of the UK’s oldest investment managers, having been founded in 1824.
In 2002, Clerical Medical Investment Management Limited, which had been incorporated in 1987, was re-branded Insight Investment. In January 2003, Insight acquired Rothschild Asset Management Limited.
Insight manages £102.1bn for its clients as at 30 June 2007. It has built expert teams covering the full range of asset types – equities, bonds, property, derivatives and private equity and has developed particular expertise in providing tailored or bespoke “solutions” which meet the specific needs and concerns of customers rather than the creation of generic products.
