Retail is the largest division in HBOS and houses the Halifax and Bank of Scotland branch network. It's home to over 44,000 colleagues – the majority of whom are employed in 1,270 branches and estate agencies and in nine contact centres across the country.
Retail is responsible for developing and marketing HBOS's core banking, savings, mortgages and personal lending products. The successful strategy of producing simple, value for money products means HBOS is the UK's number one provider for both mortgages and savings.
Some of the most popular accounts are Regular Saver, Children's Regular Saver and the innovative moneyback current account, the only bank account in Europe to reward customers with 1% money back on debit card purchases.
Other brands organised under the Retail umbrella include Birmingham Midshires, Clerical Medical, Intelligent Finance and The Mortgage Business.
